The BCA’s eight (8) Divisions each consider all applications
from residents of their Division and accept or reject them at
quarterly meetings. All applicants must be at least 18 years
old and in good standing with the American Kennel Club.
You can obtain an application from the Secretary of the
Division you live in for the majority of the year. If you
live in Division I, you can either 1) e-mail or write to the
Division Secretary to obtain a hard copy of the application
form or 2) you will be able to download a .pdf application
from here or the BCA Web site in the near future.
If you do not live in Division I, go here to find out the Secretary of
your Division. You must return the completed application
to the correct Division Secretary.
Read through the application and the BCA Code of Ethics (on
the back of the application). Then fill in the application
and sign and date it (doing so signifies that you have read
and agree to, the BCA Code of Ethics)
Have your sponsor fill in their portion and sign and date the
application. BCA requires that a BCA member in good standing
propose all applicants. The Division Board will not consider
any application for membership not signed by a BCA member in
good standing.
If you downloaded the .pdf file, make three copies of both
pages after you and the sponsor have signed it. Make sure
that your name as the applicant is filled out on both pages.
Keep one for yourself and mail three to the Secretary of your
Division.
Mail your completed and signed application back to your
Division Secretary. If your application is for foreign
membership, please mail it to the Division Secretary where
your sponsor resides.
Include a check with your annual fees.
· $30.00 per
domestic (USA) member.

· There is an
additional mailing fee for members
living outside the US: $10 for Canada and Mexico; $40

If you are accepted, the Secretary will keep one, a second
will go to the Division Treasurer and the third will be sent
to the National Treasurer. If your membership is declined,
your membership fee will be returned.
